Makerspace
Makerspace purpose
The Peak MakerSpace can be incorporated into a library lesson with specific challenges based on grade level ability; as well as being available for individual guided activities when students have earned their opportunity to utilize various activities at times when the library is open for Design Time.

HOW DO MAKERSPACES FIT INTO THE LIBRARY?
MISD libraries seek to empower all for a lifetime of learning by providing and promoting resources and tools in a variety of formats. In addition to traditional reading materials, when libraries offer tools and resources they allow patrons to further their research and learning through experimentation and creation. Did you know that Ben Franklin, the founder of the public library, used library spaces for many of his early experiments?
